When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored as a secure hash). When you fill out your profile, we collect your full name, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and optionally your date of birth. This information is necessary to locate and remove your data from data broker sites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information exclusively to:

• Search for your profiles on data broker websites
• Submit removal and opt-out requests on your behalf
• Monitor data broker sites for reappearance of your data
• Communicate with you about your account and removal progress
• Process payments through our payment processor (Stripe)

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Why We Retain Your Information

In order to effectively remove your personal data from data broker sites, we must retain a copy of your information (name, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and date of birth). This is necessary because:

• Ongoing monitoring: Data brokers frequently re-collect and re-publish personal information. We need your data on file to continuously scan for and remove any reappearances.
• Removal verification: We periodically re-check data broker sites to confirm your information has been successfully removed. This requires us to know what information to look for.
• New broker submissions: As we add new data brokers to our database, we submit removal requests on your behalf using the information you have provided.

Without retaining your personal information, we would be unable to provide the data removal and monitoring service you have subscribed to.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only with data brokers for the purpose of submitting removal requests. We also share limited payment information with Stripe to process your subscription. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We regularly review our security practices and infrastructure.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and your subscription is in effect, as it is required to provide our data removal service.

If you wish to have your personal information deleted from our systems, you may request deletion by emailing us at support@datawipenow.com. Upon receiving your request, we will:

• Cancel your active subscription (if applicable)
• Delete all personal information from our database within 30 days
• Stop all active and future removal requests on your behalf
• Send you a confirmation email once the deletion is complete

Please note that once your data is deleted from our systems, we will no longer be able to monitor data brokers or submit removal requests on your behalf. Any previously submitted removal requests will continue to be processed by the data brokers, but we will not be able to follow up or verify their completion.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data by contacting support@datawipenow.com
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time by canceling your account

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
